Balay Ko On Barca

Adopt a Casita

5Cities Homeless Coalition (5CHC), in partnership with the County of San Luis Obispo (SLO) and the City of Grover Beach, is implementing the second temporary emergency housing project in Grover Beach to help those experiencing homelessness in SLO County achieve the ultimate goal of permanent housing. Following the success of the Cabins for Change project, which opened in December 2022, this resource has proved its value to both those in need and their communities.

To date, Cabins for Change has seen a 70% success rate of moving individuals off of the street and into permanent housing. Balay Ko on Barca intends to duplicate and DOUBLE the success the Cabins for Change project has seen in just one year!
