Our 11th annual “Empty Bowls Luncheon” is recreating last year's success and staying mobile! Visit any of 3 pickup parties to pick up (and pick out) bowls handcrafted by local artisans. In an effort to continue supporting local businesses, when you pick up your bowl, you will receive a coupon good for a bowl of soup from a participating restaurant!
In collaboration with community partners, our vision is to build a Community Services Center that will offer a range of resources to empower families, children and individuals to receive the education, job training, food and health services they need to become self-sufficient and productive community members. It is a fresh year, with much to be thankful for. We have been working in recent months to compile a directory of the many services offered in South County by local non-profit organizations, the faith community, businesses, individuals and service groups. We will soon be posting this resource list on our website. As we have come to understand the efforts that each provides, I continue to be amazed at the many generous examples of caring that I encounter.
The Coalition’s mission to help those who are homeless or facing homelessness incorporates three pillars: resources, support and hope. Each is key to improving the personal well-being of our clients as well as strengthening our broader community.
Donate NowThrough collaboration and leadership, we are building an engaged community that fully understands the complexities of homelessness and actively shares the responsibility of creating and implementing solutions to reduce it.
